What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a scientific study conducted to test the safety and effectiveness of new medical devices, medications and treatments for patients with specific diseases or conditions. As an SDSU student you can be an important part of the latest research on various public health diseases and concerns. Not only will you be participating in useful research but you will also gain experience in what it is like to be part of a clinical trial. This could be beneficial to your health as well as your overall education here at San Diego State University.
