Immunizations
I-Hold
An immunization hold (I-Hold) is a hold on your university account due to missing information about required vaccinations for measles, rubella and/or hepatitis B. If you have not provided proof of immunization or immunity on a blood test, the university can deny your registration privileges until the hold is cleared through the registrar. You can clear an I-Hold in one of the following ways:
- Use our webportal, HealtheConnection, to enter your immunization dates AND attach scanned COPIES of your proof of immunization records.
- Bring in COPIES of your proof of immunization records to Medicine East on the second floor (Mon-Fri 8:30 AM-12:30 PM; 1:30-4:30 PM).
- Mail COPIES of your proof of immunization records directly to SHS, including your name, Red ID number, date of birth, a return address and contact number.
- Fax COPIES of your proof of immunization records to 619-594-6465.
- Receive immunizations at SHS for a fee (fee schedule [pdf]). Call 619-594-5058 for an appointment.
- Get a titer blood test at SHS to measure your immunity for a fee (fee schedule [pdf])
- Get vaccinated through your private health care provider and send in COPIES of your proof of immunization records.
